Rev. Wilson Okonjo Adongo MA, CPM

Okonjo is  Kenyan born and raised up in Awendo, Migori County. He is a forth born in a family of ten. In his education, he is currently a PhD (Religious Studies)- Candidate; Kenyatta University. He has MA (Religious Studies) and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) all from Kenyatta University. He has a Diploma in Theology, a Certificate in Counseling Psychology from AGAPE Counseling and Training Services. A Certificate in Leadership from the International Leadership Institute (I.L.I). He is also a Certified Professional Mediator.

Professionally, Okonjo is teacher currently serving as a senior teacher at Maranda High School. He has taught and examined various classes (forms) including pre-candidates and candidates’ levels, in the institution, both Geography and Christian Religious Education. He has supervised the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in various schools.

He is also a part time lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) examining and supervising internal examinations for undergraduate. He has taught at the Voice International College (formerly VOSH Bible College) both Diploma and Certificate classes.

At Maranda High School and teaching profession, he has served in various capacities. He has served as a School Chaplain for eleven years. Chairman Covid-19 Response Committee and a senior examiner with the National Examination Council (KNEC), Christian Religious Education Paper 2.

On Professional Associations membership, he is  member of the Advanced Professional Mediators Association, Life Member of Bible Society of Kenya (BSK), National Association of Christian Chaplains (NACC). He is also an associate member of Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF) and an ordained Member of the Clergy, Voice of Salvation and Healing Church (VOSHC)Okonjo is a researcher and author biased to Biographical books of church ministers. Equally, he has research interests in African Initiated Churches (AICs). Some of his Publications includes books such as:

Okonjo has contributed to community service and has received recognition. He serves in the Board Management of the National Association of Christian Chaplains (NACC), Institute for Faith And Gender Empowerment (IFAGE). He is a conference facilitator and speaker in public institutions especially church-related and schools on social and religious activities.He has presented Papers in Academic and Professional Seminars and  Workshops.

He has been awarded a Certificate in Professional Mediation- Serein Mediation Center, a Certificate in Counselling Psychology-AGAPE Counselling and Training Services. Certificate of Honor, best Christian Religious Education (CRE)- Teacher of the Year in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education; Mean Score 11.73, 2010 and Mean Score 12, 2024.
